Radiator Valves

Radiator valves are an integral component of the radiator, allowing you to control the heat output so you can manually set the temperature of the room to one that is comfortable for you. They are essentially what connects your new radiator to your central heating system, outwardly. They do not come with the radiator and need to be chosen separately because not all pipework is the same, so you need to choose a valve based on how your pipework is set up and the position of the valve inlets on your new radiator. And on your interior décor tastes of course.

Manual & Thermostatic Radiator Valves

Radiator valves are either manual or thermostatic – but come in a variety of shapes, sizes and finishes. Ensure that you choose one you like the look of, as the valve will be very visible and, in a way, completes the look of your radiator. They always come in a set.

We have a selection of manual, corner, thermostatic and modern valves as well as straight, traditional, square and angled valves. We offer 10 types of finish as well, including stylish chrome, copper, black nickel and pewter.

Radiator Valves Popular Questions

What Does A Radiator Valve Do?

The temperature of the radiators is controlled via radiator valves. Our radiator valves will always be sold in pairs. One valve changes the amount of water entering the radiator to change the temperature, and the other modifies the amount of heat leaving the radiator to balance your system.

Can Radiator Valves Help Save On Energy Bills?

Yes, our range of thermostatic radiator valves is great at helping save on those energy bills. They are great at regulating the heat output based on the temperature of the room. They prevent rooms from overheating and therefore help save on those energy bills.

What Are thermostatic Radiator Valves?

They are more commonly known as TRVs and their main function is to control the temperature of a space by automatically adjusting the amount of hot water that enters the radiator. A thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) will allow you to have more control over the temperature in the room, creating a warm and inviting space whilst also remaining energy efficient.

If you set up a TRV in the correct way, it will allow you to create different heating zones throughout your space, despite only having one centralised boiler system providing your main source of heat. We have multiple designs available, such as an angled thermostatic valve and more traditional radiator valves.

What's The Difference Between Straight And Angled Radiator Valves?

Straight radiator valves don't incorporate any curves or bends. They connect to a radiator or towel rail up from the floor. Angled valves are usually used to provide a clean finish, concealing pipework and plumbing more effectively than their straight counterparts.

Do They Come with A Warranty?

Yes, all of our radiator valves come with a warranty. However, these warranties differ depending on the manufacturer. Make sure you check the warranty of the product before you make a purchase.
